Interior Highlights:

  • Beautiful natural woodwork throughout, hardwood floors, wood ceilings and decorative tin ceilings. Rooms are suitable for offices, displays, meeting and breakout rooms.
  • Large exhibit hall, (approx 80 ft X 105 feet) for exhibits, banquets – capacity 475 people
  • Large, 4200 Sq. Ft. garage with 14 ft. doors
  • 4 wood burning fireplaces: 2 on the first floor and 2 on the second floor.
  • Indoor Swimming Pool: The swimming pool measures 30 x 22 ft, and has a depth of 4ft to 5 ft. While it has not been used for a number of years, it has been cleaned, refurbished and freshly painted.
  • Heating is by natural gas heating with radiators from the steam boilers.

    Exterior Highlights

  • The entire exterior brick and stone surface has been repaired and re-mortared.

  • In 2002, the roof area over the exhibit hall was replaced while still under the ownership of New York State. The remainder of the roof, which is slate, has been maintained by the owner.

  • All 260 windows have been repaired and are maintained in the basement, first floor, second floor & exhibit hall. Also the windows in the exhibit hall have been coated with an epoxy for protection against damage from basketball or similar use sports when the exhibit hall is being used as a gymnasium.

  • Most windows have been fitted with permanently installed storm windows to protect against the elements but which can be opened for ventilation.

  • Parking: spaces for 10 cars in adjacent lot. Two additional lots for parking are also available directly across the street for approximately 23 and 116 cars, respectively.

  • The city of Tonawanda has agreed and offered to install a crossing light at the corner of Main Street and Benton Street. In addition, the city has offered to remove any posted parking restrictions from the surrounding streets to accommodate additional, on-street parking.
